The IT Manager explained that he is currently evaluating CRM solutions. He explained that he has only been in this role for approximately 6 weeks and has plans in place to implement a CRM solution as the company is currently using Excel to manage the sales pipeline. The IT Manager explained that he is currently in the process of evaluating the user number as the solution will be accessed across all business departments, including Sales, Marketing, IT Support, Operations and Accounts Departments.
To give some indication of the user number, he said that there are currently 60 network users so if at least half of these departments have access to the CRM solution then it is anticipated that there will be approximately 30 users of a CRM solution. There are multiple sites involved, all based in The UK. There will be 1-2 remote sites, a few remote users with some of these remote users using laptops and others using VPN connections and a few using blackberries.
There is also a possibility of 2 new sites coming on board in the next few months. The IT Manager said that he will be evaluating CRM providers for the next 2-3 months. The IT Manager would like to receive some information for his perusal, via email and is open to speaking with suitable CRM providers effective immediately.
