Project Summary: The Client requires a storage solution for its existing infrastructure of 60 – 70 HP servers and a HP MSA SAN with 2TB of data. It has considered MS Virtual Server but prefers VMware. Before the end of 2008 the Client hopes to implement 2 x ESX virtual servers into a testing/development environment and pilot VMware. The ideal long term plan is to put VMware into full production over a sustained period. This is intended as a long term project with staggered implementation phases. The aim of the project is to Consolidate server infrastructure, reduce operating cost and allow storage scalability for future growth. Project Summary: The Client is planning to relocate to a new site gradually over the next 2 years, with the aim of completing the implementation by 2010. The new building will require a new IP Telephony system, to replace the Northstar telephone system onsite. The new IP telephone system will need to support 120-140 extensions, plus 90 extensions at other locations. The new building will also require CAT 6 cabling, network routing, and switching to be installed.
